This is a story of a dysfunctional family forced to live together after life threw them some curveballs. Terry Gannon Jr. and her son Danny move back in with her father, a bitter, opinionated and racist ex-athlete who always wanted a son. “The Cannon”, as he is known, drove his daughter away but she is forced to move back in after a failed marriage and losing her college scholarship. Danny decides he wants to play little league baseball, but he has no aptitude for sports and is among several kids not chosen by the local sports league. Outraged, Terry decides to start her own team and give all the kids that nobody wanted a chance to play, and she is determined to get “The Cannon” to help.
